Happy New Year to you all and welcome to the 2025 North Yorkshire Centre rally book.

I was honoured and delighted to take up the position of your centre Chair back in October 2024 to carry on the good work carried on by my predecessors. I am extremely pleased to have a full Committee and a Young caravanners committee and we will endeavour to move our centre forwards to attract more ralliers and new venues where required.

If you are a member of our centre and have never rallied – maybe the words “off-grid” unnerves you then please do reach out to anyone on the committee who will offer support and guidance on what to expect and what you can do to have a fantastic first rally and then never lookback.

When I joined the CAMC many decades ago, I wondered whether I would stay, but here I am still! So, when I ask my adult children, and hopefully soon, my grandchildren, what are their favourite childhood memories on holidays – its caravanning and camping with the club centre that stands out. The friendships, the fun and games, the views, the exploring, socialising and chilling – so many positive things come out of the rally scene- where there is always a safe, friendly, warm welcome and a helping hand offered if needed.

We have another bumper year of rallies ahead and extended rallies to tempt you.

As your centre Chair and with the support of my fellow Committee members, we will do everything we can for the better, the interest of the centre and its members – You!
